Launched in 2022, Kindergarten, Here We Come! is a workshop for parents/caregivers and their incoming kindergartners to prepare for the first day of school. The goal for attendees is two-fold: To introduce parents/caregivers to the concept of school readiness while equipping them to best support their child’s transition to kindergarten, and to introduce children to a formal early education setting that will help prepare them for success on day one of kindergarten and beyond.

The 2022 “Kindergarten, Here We Come!” program was a collaborative effort led by ReadyKids! in partnership with the Escambia County School District, Parent University Pensacola, Rising Minds Learning, and Community Action Head Start. Funding was provided by the Escambia Children’s Trust, a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Escambia County.
