Every child deserves the chance to walk into kindergarten feeling confident, capable, and ready to shine. But bright futures don’t happen by chance — they happen because people like you choose to show up.
Join ReadyKids! for our Annual Breakfast on Tuesday, August 25 as we celebrate the community of families, volunteers, educators, businesses, and neighbors who believe in the power of investing in children. Together, we’ll reflect on the difference we can make when we each bring something to the table — our time, our voices, our resources, and our commitment to the next generation.
Because every bright future starts with someone showing up. A mentor who encourages a child. A family who believes in what’s possible. A community that says, “Our children matter.”

At ReadyKids!, we’re on a mission to change that – one child at a time. Through early literacy, mentorship, and family engagement, we empower children with the skills they need to succeed on day one of kindergarten and beyond.

Our Impact
More than half of Escambia County children are not ready to enter kindergarten. These are children who may not have access to books, may have unique family dynamics, or might need a little extra help to start school on the same academic level as their peers. Our mission is designed to help bridge that gap through one-on-one mentorships for our community’s youngest learners and ongoing support and resources for their families - all in support of our vision that every child starts school ready to learn.
Ways to Get Involved
From mentoring Pre-K students; equipping families to be their child’s first, best, and most important teacher; and supporting our local educators, we work daily toward supporting the children in our community in being ready when they enter kindergarten.
